COMPUTER-TO-PLATE with and without the Scan-Light-Source
QualyDOT
CTP generated highlight screen dots with 1% or less reguire
wellbalanced UV-A output and at the same time low heat variation
for the polymerisation of the flexo plate.
These parameters can hardly be fulfilled by the regular analog
tube exposure units which are in use today.

That means in practice the plates are over-exposed to compensate
the UV variations,
partly possible because of the age of the
tubes or developement of heat.

The advantage of CTP and its quality is partly eliminated
by this necessary "safety over-exposing".
With the new Scan-Light-Source exposure advantages, with its
constant temperatures and steady UV-A output, the CTP flexo
quality can be improved.

Because of the constant polymerisation with the QualyDOT,
the stability of the flexoplate will be increased.
